Nassau County Park Activities and Aquatic Center to Close at 4pm Today - Visiting Hours at Correctional Center Cancelled for Tomorrow

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has announced the cancellation of activities and classes within Nassau County Parks system today and early closure of the Nassau County Aquatic Center at 4:00 p.m. The Aquatic Center will reopen tomorrow, January 22nd at 12:00 p.m.

Mangano: Outdoor Ice Rinks to Open for the 2013-2014 Season

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that Nassau County’s outdoor ice rinks at Christopher Morley Park and Grant Park will open for the 2013-2014 winter season on Saturday, November 30th. As a part of the opening day celebration there will be free admission to the two-hour skating sessions which will take place from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and from 1:15 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. Skate rentals are not included.

Mangano Announces Plans to Clean Massapequa Lake - Dozens of Workers and Volunteers to Attend on August 3rd

In an effort to clean Massapequa Lake and rid it of an invasive aquatic plant species, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will join with County Legislator Michael Venditto, employees from both Nassau County and the Town of Oyster Bay and dozens of local volunteers on Saturday, August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Mangano Announces Summer Concert Series at Chelsea Mansion

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced the Summer Concert Series Lineup at Chelsea Mansion on the Muttontown Preserve. All performances are free of charge and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Take in the beautiful landscape that affords Chelsea Mansion its sense of elegance and charm while listening to music ranging from jazz to classical. Concertgoers are urged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy these outdoor shows.
