Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announces the final day to submit to the Long Island International Film Expo will be on Wednesday, April 2nd 2014. The Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) will hold its 17th Annual Installment at the Bellmore Movies from July 9th through July 17th.
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced today that the Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF) will begin on July 31st 2014, and will extend into a four day long festival. The LBIFF is currently accepting online submissions in all categories for the “Shorts on the Beach” series, as well as features, live action, animation, drama, comedy, thriller, horror, sports, and documentaries. Sponsored in part by the City of Long Beach and Nassau County, “Shorts on the Beach” film series is a free screening of short films on the beach and under the stars. Blankets and chairs are welcome.
In an effort to further attract the motion picture and television industry to Nassau County, the industry’s hottest independent producers and directors as well as movie, commercial and television location managers and scouts will be touring various locations throughout Nassau County on Monday and Tuesday, December 9th and 10th. Camoin Associates recently issued an independent report which indicated the film industry generated over $140 million in economic benefit for Nassau County last year and employed 1,945 people.
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced The Long Beach International Film Festival (LBIFF), “Shorts on the Beach,” will be held at the Allegria Hotel on August 22, 2013. This year’s festival will consist of a variety of short films and a sneak peak of the 2014 LBIFF.
The Long Island International Film Expo (LIIFE) will hold its 16th annual installment at the historic Bellmore Movies from July 17 – 25, 2013. Showing 146 films from around the world, LIIFE will showcase movies from 18 countries with 36 of the films having Long Island ties and 35 more hailing from New York in general.
